Workshop Description

An introductory course into the world of fermented beverages. Learn how to transform your favourite flavours into beautiful, delicious, sparkling drinks. This is a hands-on learning experience where we encourage participants to get involved in making their ferments. There will be lots of tastings throughout the day, and you will get to choose two starter cultures to bring home with you to begin your fermenting journey. Topics covered: - How to make kombucha, milk kefir (dairy and non-dairy), water kefir, kvass and more. - Various brewing methods and styles. - Delicious recipes and ideas on how to incorporate into your diet. - The why’s and how’s of the ferments fermenting. - Health and Safety around working with ferments. - Recommended fermentation vessels Vegetarian lunch provided using delicious local cheeses and bread, organic salads, freshly made hummus, and our own ferments. Tea, coffee, and snacks also provided.
