Workshop Description

An introductory course into the world of fermented foods; this is a hands-on learning experience where we encourage participants to get involved in making their ferments. There will be lots of tastings throughout the day, and you will get to make and bring home some of your own delicious ferments. Topics covered: - How to make kimchi, sauerkraut, and whole vegetable ferments - Various fermenting methods and styles. - Recipes and ideas on how to incorporate into your diet. - The why’s and how’s of the ferments fermenting. - Health and Safety around working with ferments. - Recommended fermentation vessels Vegetarian lunch provided using delicious local cheeses and bread, organic salads, freshly made hummus, and our own ferments. Tea, coffee, and snacks also provided.
